Do you use trans fatty acids?
Last updated: July 21, 2026
Confections made with dairy ingredients such as butter may contain trans fatty acids naturally derived from those dairy ingredients (approximately 2g per 100g of butter).
In addition, some products use shortening (※) alongside dairy ingredients such as butter for reasons including texture. The trans fatty acid content of the shortening used in our shop is approximately 0.8g per 100g of shortening, which is less than half the trans fatty acid content found in typical butter.
(※ A shortening with reduced trans fatty acids, achieved by avoiding partial hydrogenation during the manufacturer's production process.)
